This is Arch Rock on Mackinac Island, MI. I will write what it says on the postcard I bought. It is a natural limestone formation with a span of 50 feet which rises 149 feet about the blue waters of the Straits of Mackinac. In the first picture you can see the people riding a bike on the road below. It was quite a climb up via wooden stairs.
Wow! That is really cool. Beautiful pictures.

What an awesome example of erosion. Good for you for climbing those steps. Great captures.
ReplyDeletearch rock makes for wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteThe arch makes a great picture frame. The water is so many shades of blue and the flowers in the second and third photo match it perfectly. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteYou can see arches like this in UT - but not above water! I loved the enlarged first pic with the cyclists - really put the formation in perspective.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful arches in lovely surroundings ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Wow, great view. Love the arch.
