Enjoyable Day

Finished my 2nd book for Jan. Amy Tan's  Saving Fish From Drowninghttp://www.amytan.net/ This is an interesting website about Amy Tan.

Other books by Amy Tan include (fiction) The Joy Luck Club, The Kitchen God's Wife, The Hundred Secret Senses and The Bonesetter's Daughter.

(Nonfiction)  The Opposite of Fate

(Children's Books) The Moon Lady and The Chinese Siamese Cat.

Spent a lot of time today ripping CDs. My son and his wife gave me plenty (not in my collection). I just about got through theirs and now I have my own. Tons and tons. I will download to MP3 player when I finish. I hope they all fit. I have just about every kind of genre there is, from Willie Nelson to opera.

Then I went and had my hair trimmed, manicure and pedicure. All under $50.00. Good deal. I have a great hair cutter "Holly" at Great Clips. Most people spend at least $50.00 for a hair cut.

Tonight went with a friend to a get together with some ladies that my friend has met at a church she just started attending. I had a really nice time. We ate, played a game called "Fact or Crap". Nice name for church ladies. What can I say it was fun.

  3. That was a cheap beaty session. Lucky you. I get cheap hair cuts from a neighbour. I love reading but a book lasts me weeks as I only read before going to sleep and sometimes that is only after a few pages. Great to see you had a happy weekend. Nice tribute to your son too.
