Start Your Day with Coffee and a Prayer

Tuesday very stressful.
Computer problems. Those words most of us do not want to hear especially when at work. Tuesday was just awful. Our IT guy put in new switch box, and oh my what trouble it caused. Apparently some of the switches were bad or so they say and trouble started to brew. To make matters worse he decided to sit at my computer to start with and sad to say something happened, lost a program. Now this program is my lifeline (did not have anything to do with those D switches). Of course I had to spend the entire day on the phone and try to re-install which I did but the program I now have to use is different. Oh well, hopefully I can adjust.
Amazing how we have come to depend on this technology. Even now I send out my thoughts using a computer. Good and not so good goes along with this.
All in all it really does make my work life better.

I work in IT. Sounds like he needs a good swift kick in the rump.
ReplyDeleteYour right that switch didn't have anything to do with your computer.
I've been here 19 years and had several more years experience in computers before there were PC's.
I have to hold all our newbies hands a lot and let me tell you that I stress for them not to change or do anything unless they back up the computer first!
Sorry you are having problems.
I was quite glad when my work computer blew up the other day! It had been soooo sloooowwww. Now I have a better one, though I did have to reinstall everything. But problems at home cause me to panic as if my baby was critically ill! Thankfully I have an iMac and they are not so prone to problems (dare I say that?!)
ReplyDeleteI just hate when that happens.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the wires, I knew you were in trouble!
ReplyDeleteHow frustrating and it always happens when you're in the middle of something important.
ReplyDeleteThat is just a bummer! I hope you can get your original program back. That photo of the burning keyboard is a riot!! Just shows that you haven't lost your sense of humor. Thank goodness.
