The deep freeze in the deep south has thawed.

Boy did we ever get locked in here in Georgia. I was glad I bought bird seed. Lots of entertainment. The roads were a mess. Some were cleared while others were not. Stayed out of work until Thurs. I was a little nervous driving the 4 miles to work. So many others have much further to drive. I do not think we have ever been closed for 3 days due to snow and ice. It was pretty warm today so the roads are looking much better.  Georgia is a strange state; I always say don't pack your shorts and don't put away your sweats. You can always count on weather changes.

  1. A smorgasbord for your birds. I know weather changes well - but in CO snow isn't usually a problem. Occasionally I 70 closes.

  2. Sounds like Victoria. We have a saying "If you don't like the weather in Victoria just wait 5 minutes. Sounds most inconvenient blocking up the roads like that. Ours are covered in mud now.

  3. Thanks for your visit Ms. Fiddlesticks. Love the blog name. The weather has been totally mad worldwide hasn't it? We had bad snow in the UK the last couple of winters and as it is so unusual it bought the whole country to a standstill. But thankfully today is beautiful, mild and sunny.

  4. Ya'll got what we thought we were gonna get here in Mississippi. North MS got 11 inches, south MS didn't get anything but ice.

  5. Sounds like our state of Victoria. We say," If you don't like the weather just wait 5 minutes." The snow is pretty to see everywhere but can be a bother if you have to go anywhere, Some of our roads are still in a mess from the floods.
